What we are all about
Temecula Velo members are cycling advocates dedicated to spreading the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and to improving cycling safety in our communities. We promote cycling as a fun, goal oriented activity that people can participate in either as a casual rider or competitive racer. We promote cycling as a “community” with both social and philanthropic benefits. We seek to make cycling a viable alternative to the car for those who commute locally.
What we do
Temecula Velo meets weekly for group rides in and around the City of Temecula. As our major fundraiser we also put on the Temecula Valley Century, now in its 3rd year. Proceeds from our event support our cycling advocacy, benefit local charities, The Gary Sinise Foundation and club activities.
Our group began in 2007 as Temecula Valley Cyclists with 10 people who shared a desire to get fit. We became accountability partners to one another. Since then our group has grown, as has the need for organized rides and training in the valley. In 2008 our group’s direction changed and we became Temecula Velo Cycling Club. We are dedicated to spreading the word of cycling for fitness, fun, and socialization. Our mission is to teach safe cycling skills, provide training and nutrition guidance, and champion cycling rights throughout our valley.
